We are excited to announce an open call for a dedicated and passionate Project Manager to lead our “Education for Resilience – Futures Literacy Program” in the Gaa-Alanu community, Malete, Kwara State, Nigeria. This project is sponsored by the Resilience Fund and aims to provide stability and promote sustainable development in the Gaa-Alanu community. Through comprehensive capacity-building initiatives, we will equip the school children and the broader community with essential skills and competencies to become active and resilient citizens.

Position: Project Manager, Education for Resilience
Starting Date: July 2024
Duration: Six months
Location: Malete, Kwara State, Nigeria

Are you experienced in project management and passionate about education and community development? Do you enjoy working with children and respect child safety guidelines? If so, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training classes and engage students in Yoruba.
  • Oversee the project implementation and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders for effective collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress and report on milestones and deliverables.
  • Perform risk management and proactively address issues.
  • Establish strong relationships with community members and integrate their feedback.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Project Management, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field. (Master’s degree or certification is a plus)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in community development.
  • Background in education with a strong understanding of the subject matter.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Passion for working with children and upholding child safety guidelines.
  • Must be based in the Ilorin/Malete area and familiar with the local context.
