Are you passionate about education, community development, and social impact? OneAfricanChild Foundation is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic interns to support our work in empowering children and youth through quality and inclusive education.

We are currently recruiting interns for a 3 to 6-month internship period in the following roles:

1. Programs Intern

Key Responsibilities:

The Programs Intern will collaborate with the Programs Specialist in executing and enhancing various educational and community engagement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensure the high-quality implementation of programs and activities while ensuring timely data collection and reporting.
  2. Organize and facilitate workshops/events for learners and teachers.
  3. Maintain and update databases of schools, volunteers, and partners.
  4. Assist with proposal development, grant writing, and monitoring & evaluation.
  5. Support program reporting, documentation, and perform other relevant tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
  2. Strong organizational and communication skills.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
  4. Passion for education and community development.

2. Social Media Intern

Key Responsibilities:

The Social Media Management Intern will oversee and enhance the organization’s online presence through effective social media management. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Manage and create engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  2. Develop and execute social media strategies to boost engagement.
  3. Interact with followers and respond to inquiries professionally.
  4. Collaborate with teams to align content with campaigns and programs.

Qualifications

  1. Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
  2. Strong understanding of social media trends and platforms.
  3. Excellent written and visual content creation skills.
  4. Basic knowledge of social media analytics.

3. IT & Web Management Intern

Key Responsibilities:

The IT & Web Management Intern will provide technical support and contribute to the optimization of the organization’s online presence. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Provide IT support and troubleshoot technical issues.
  2. Optimize website performance, accessibility, and SEO.
  3. Monitor website analytics and suggest improvements.
  4. Collaborate with content creators to enhance online presence.

Qualifications

  1. Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
  2. Basic knowledge of IT support, web management, and SEO.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
