I draw inspiration from many things: -Quest to success, Success of others, results of accomplishing the task and many more.
How did you learn about OAC and reason(s) for joining?
My interest in serving others, the challenge of seeing many young people availing themselves for service to humanity and also discovering through social media that there many UITEs in OAC. I said to myself OAC must be doing something great for those people to be in the organization. I contacted Victoria who later invited me to one of the family meetings and the rest is history.
How has your experience been so far?
The experience has been “Fulfilling” as I am able to contribute to the society via OAC. The experience has also been “Challenging” as we have many members giving their all in all to service to humanity and this creates a feeling in me that I am not putting in enough efforts.
How has joining OAC improved your personal and professional life?
I have observed a significant improvement in my in Public speaking/presentation and the ability to harness knowledge from different fields of life.
Please share with us your best moments in OAC.
There are so many best moment with OAC but to bring out few I will mention the Children day program we had at SHASHA HIGH SCHOOL. After the program, I got 3-4 feedback from the students and I pictured myself in their shoe. I just wished I had the same opportunity while in secondary school. Our steps may not be mighty as we desire yet but we are definitely making a “one-by-one” positive impact in different lives. TAQWA BAY is also one of such as we are able to combine work(service) with fun, kudos to our excos.
What do you think of OAC in the Universe?
My answer to this is the song of Michael Jackson “Heal the world” let us all go and listen to it once again.
I salute the courage and efforts of every member contributing towards fulfilling the objectives of OAC. We should not see service to humanity as working for others at no cost but we are working for the change we desire to see.
