VOLUNTEERS TUESDAY: MEET AGATHA NOEL WANZALA
Tell us about yourself
Agatha is a mother and a wife. She is currently undertaking a degree in Education at Zetech University, Kenya.
My passion is service to others.
What motivates you to help others?
My greatest motivation is love, my mother who taught me not to help because I expect to be helped, and my daughter who gives me the reason to love.
What is your greatest strength and how does it help you as a volunteer?
My strength is communication and it helps in volunteering as I can freely express my self.
What’s your most rewarding experience as a volunteer at OAC?
Our visit to the Compassionate Hands for the Disabled Home in 2017. I learnt quite a lot, with the greatest lesson being that all children are precious regardless of their conditions.
My hobbies are cooking, reading and dancing.
What’s your favorite meal?
Pilau, a popular Swahili dish, in which rice is cooked in a seasoned broth.
“An act of love is an act of peace.”
Let’s serve and make our mother Africa the best place for the coming generation.
