Tell us about yourself

I am Afolayan Tolulope Abimbola, a graduate of Information and Communication science, University of Ilorin. I consider myself a simple, easy going person, could be a little shy but you don’t want to start a discussion on my topics of Interest (Pedophilia and general Child Well being, which includes; Safety, Education and Health).
My career goal is to work with world’s best system developers as the Consumer’s eyes as I like to call it (Users satisfaction and Experience-UX) and to the height of general management of Information system. Also, to build a little community where every child in it feels accepted, loved, protected and cherished. Where there would be no discriminations whatsoever, where they are bestowed with opportunities to learn and explore and make something great of themselves.
Firstly, be good and don’t be shy to admit you do not know. Secondly, know that you can never please everyone, but live to please God and every godly person will be pleased. Lastly, if you stand for nothing, you fall for everything.

Passion

The world I live in inspires me, everyone and everything inspires me, the words I hear, the people I see/meet, the wrongs, the rights…I am inspired by everything.
So, I was just discussing with my friend on how I think every child has the right to the good things of life and should not be deprived, when my friend who is a member said “Oh! You should meet Vicky (the founder of OAC)” then she told me all OAC is about and what they do and I fell in love immediately. This question, whenever asked brings smile to my face, because I learned something, which is “Never hide your passion”

What do you think of OAC in the universe?

I always say it, OAC is indeed a force to reckon with, I mean it’s a group of the world’s most amazing youths. I believe that, if every country in the world has OAC in it, it will be a different story by now. When you think you are the most passionate about kids, you meet someone else and without being told you know that your passion is “upcoming”…lol!

Best moments with OAC

Honestly, every moment I have had with OAC, has been overwhelming, for every outing, I return home with a new mind, a new understanding of things and the world around me, a new way of seeing things and I bless God everyday for this opportunity.

Experience so far

My experience so far has been heavenly, I am not exaggerating, that’s sincerely how I feel…you know meeting youth with phenomenal drives to make world better, to speak for children, to fight for children, is just amazing, then getting to be one of them! Nothing could be better!

Parting Words

I don’t always get to be at meetings and go for outings as I would have loved to, due to some constraints, but I try to do in my own little way what OAC would have done wherever I find myself and I think it’s the heart behind it that matters.
